Good value, some queues

We booked a short break in a Waterside Lodge. The lodge was spacious and clean, and the location near the lake was lovely. The booking process online was simple enough. We got a decent deal by going off-peak, which felt like good value for what we paid. The Subtropical Swimming Paradise was a highlight, but it did get quite busy, and there were often queues for the slides, especially mid-afternoon. Customer service at check-in was friendly. Overall, a positive experience but they could probably manage crowd flow better in the popular areas.

Nice family trip

Went for a weekend break with the kids. Stayed in a Woodland Lodge. It was all pretty good, had loads of fun at the swimming pool. The kids loved the Pony Rides. Easy to book activities on their app. Felt relaxed after the trip.

Smooth booking, great lodge

I booked an Executive Lodge for a family holiday in July. The online booking process was straightforward, letting me select dates and lodge type easily. Confirmation emails arrived promptly. Arrival day was efficient, with pre-booked entry allowing us to drive straight to our lodge. The lodge itself was clean and well-equipped, as described on the website. We used the Subtropical Swimming Paradise daily; it was well-maintained and never felt overly crowded. The Aqua Sana Spa experience was relaxing, though booking treatments in advance is a must. Minor issue was the WiFi in the lodge, which was a bit inconsistent at times, especially in the evenings. Overall, a well-organized and enjoyable break.

Amazing holiday!

Just got back from an incredible break in an Exclusive Lodge! Everything was perfect. The lodge was so luxurious and the private hot tub was a dream. The kids absolutely loved the Subtropical Swimming Paradise and we spent hours there. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We even managed to squeeze in some Boating Lake fun. I'm already planning my next visit!

Worth the early booking

I booked a Woodland Lodge early to get the best price. It really paid off; the saving made the trip much more affordable for our family. The process was straightforward, and the low deposit offer helped spread the cost. We used the Subtropical Swimming Paradise quite a bit, which was included. While some of the extra activities added up, the overall package felt like good value for a quality family holiday. Glad I planned ahead for this one.

Consistently good experience

This was our third time visiting Center Parcs, and it was just as reliable as previous trips. We stayed in an Executive Lodge again. The standard of accommodation was consistent; clean and well-maintained. The activity booking system, which I've used before, remains intuitive. We tried Laser Combat this time, which was a blast for the kids, similar to the Archery we did last year. The ParcMarket was well stocked, as expected. It's why we keep coming back, really – you know what you're getting and it delivers.

Quick question about booking activities. Do you have to pre-book everything or can you just turn up for some stuff?

O Omar Kaur 1 month ago
Definitely pre-book the popular stuff like Aqua Sana or specific time slots for things like archery, especially in peak times. Some things you might get away with on the day, but it's risky.

You CAN just turn up for some things, but I wouldn't recommend it. I always book everything I want to do well in advance, even the swimming pool sometimes requires booking a slot now, especially during busy periods. Better safe than sorry!

thinking about going in october half term, is it mad busy then? or is it okay for families?

M Marcus Torres 1 month ago
October half term is pretty popular, yeah. Expect it to be busy, especially the swimming pool and popular activities. But they're set up for crowds, so it's usually managed well.

It'll be bustling but still fun. Just book your activities and restaurant times ASAP once you're able to. The forest itself helps spread people out a bit, but the main areas will be lively.

Is Center Parcs worth it compared to somewhere like Butlin's? Trying to decide for a family holiday with young kids.

M Mark Nguyen 3 weeks ago
Totally different vibes imo. Center Parcs is more about the forest, swimming, and outdoor stuff. Butlin's is more classic holiday camp with shows and arcade games. Depends what your kids are into.

Center Parcs is way more chill, especially if you love being outdoors. The swimming paradise is amazing, but it's not as 'in your face' entertainment as Butlin's. Plus, CP accommodation feels a bit more upmarket.

Trying to plan a trip with my mates and their dog, are all the lodges dog friendly at Center Parcs?

J Jared L. 3 weeks ago
Not all of them, no. They have specific 'Dog Friendly Lodges' you need to make sure you book. They're usually marked pretty clearly on the site.

F Faith 3 weeks ago
Double-check when you're selecting your accommodation. They usually have a filter or a little paw print icon for the dog-friendly ones. Don't want to show up with Fido and get turned away!

Hey, thinking of booking for next summer but prices seem a bit steep. Anyone know if they do proper discount codes or sales?

S Sophie Y. 1 month ago
Nah, rarely see actual codes. Your best bet is usually booking super early, that's where I always get my discount from. They just apply it automatically.

L Lisa Walsh 1 month ago
Yeah, what they said. Or sometimes last minute deals pop up, but those are a gamble. I've heard some corporate partners get codes but not for us regular folk.
